Terms of service for online psychological counseling services offered by Online Counseling

1. General Information

These terms and conditions govern the use of online psychological counseling services offered by Teodorescu și Asociații SCPP (hereinafter referred to as "practice", "we" or "Online Counseling").

By using our services, you fully accept these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Offered

The practice offers the following psychological counseling services:

Individual Counseling

Personalized sessions for your specific problems, including anxiety, depression, stress and cultural adaptation challenges.

Couple Therapy

Support for couples facing the challenges of emigration and life abroad.

Family Counseling

Help for families who want to maintain connection with Romanian roots and navigate multicultural challenges.

Emergency Support

Immediate assistance for urgent situations and psychological crisis.

3. Service Eligibility

Our services are available for:

  • Individuals aged 18 or older
  • Romanians in the diaspora facing psychological challenges
  • People who have access to the internet and a stable connection
  • Individuals who are willing to actively participate in the therapeutic process

Important note: Our services are not suitable for people in acute crisis who require immediate medical intervention. In such cases, contact local emergency services.

4. Scheduling and Canceling Consultations

Scheduling: Consultations are scheduled through the contact form or by email. You will receive a confirmation within 24 hours.

Cancellation: You can cancel a consultation at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Lateness: If you are more than 15 minutes late, the consultation may be canceled and a no-show fee may be applied.

5. Confidentiality and Security

Confidentiality is fundamental in our services:

  • All information from sessions is confidential
  • We use encryption technologies for data protection
  • Our psychologists respect professional confidentiality standards
  • Information is not shared without your express consent

Exceptions: Confidentiality may only be breached in cases of medical emergency, legal obligations, or when there is an imminent risk to your safety or that of others.

6. Your Obligations

As a user of our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Respect appointments and cancel in a timely manner if necessary
  • Actively participate in the therapeutic process
  • Not record sessions without the explicit consent of the psychologist
  • Not share confidential information with third parties
  • Respect the rights and confidentiality of other clients
  • Not use services for fraudulent or illegal purposes

7. Service Limitations

It is important to understand that:

  • Our services do not replace medical treatment for severe psychiatric problems
  • We do not provide medication prescriptions
  • We do not guarantee specific results or complete healing
  • The success of therapy depends largely on your active involvement
  • Services may be affected by technical or connection problems

8. Payment and Billing

First consultation: It is free and without obligation.

Subsequent consultations: Are billed according to current rates, communicated in advance.

Payment methods: We accept payments by bank transfer, card or other agreed methods.

Billing: Invoices are issued after each consultation and must be paid within the specified period.

9. Practice Responsibility

The practice commits to:

  • Provide quality services according to professional standards
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your information
  • Respond to requests within the specified time
  • Ensure the security of your personal data
  • Comply with current legislation and professional ethical standards

10. Limitation of Liability

The practice cannot be held liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Data loss due to technical problems
  • Negative results that are not directly caused by our services
  • Connection or equipment problems on your part
  • Decisions made by you based on our recommendations

11. Intellectual Property

All materials, content and information provided as part of the services are protected by copyright and belong to the practice. You may not reproduce, distribute or use these materials without our explicit consent.

12. Changes to Terms

The practice reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated by email or by notice on the website. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute will be resolved primarily through amicable negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Romania.
